Further to our recent update about the Good Work Plan you might be interested in further Regulations which come in to force in April 2020.

The Regulations provides that a written statement of employment particulars must be given from day one of employment.   The current provision is that this must be provided within two months of employment starting. The Regulations also give details of additional information that must be provided in the particulars.

In addition to this, the Regulations amend Regulation 16 of the Working Time Regulations 1998.

They increase the reference period for determining an average week’s pay (for the purposes of calculating holiday pay) from 12 weeks to 52 weeks, or the number of complete weeks for which the worker has been employed.
