Where have the last three years gone? That’s what the directors of Consilia Legal are asking themselves having set up the practice on 24th November 2014.
When Sally Clark, Marie Walsh and Laura Clapton launched Consilia Legal it was very much with a leap of faith and the future success of the business was completely uncertain.
Three years later Consilia Legal are centrally placed in Leeds City Centre as a boutique Employment and Family law firm offering both family and work place mediation services with a team of 10.
Looking back over the last 12 months, it has been a positive year of expansion and growth.
It started in January 2017 with the launch of the Harrogate office to bring the family mediation offering into North Yorkshire. The move into Harrogate has been a great decision for the practice and the mediation department has gone from strength to strength.
In June, the family department expanded their matrimonial team by recruiting Melanie Webb, former associate at Simpson Millar to assist the Directors in growing our family legal services offering. Melanie has been a fantastic addition to the team and the family department has seen significant growth in the last year.
The employment department have also increased in size with the appointment of Emma Cartlidge as trainee solicitor in the department from September 2017 and the recent recruitment of experienced employment solicitor Andy Boyde who joined Marie and Victoria in November having formerly worked at Blacks Solicitors. The employment department, headed up by Marie Walsh, now stands at a team of four.
Director Laura Clapton looks ahead to 2018 “The focus for next year is to continue the firm’s organic growth in all disciplines so that we can continue to exceed the needs of our clients both in the region and throughout the UK. We have carefully recruited the strongest team players in all disciplines and are thrilled to be in such a positive position after only three years. We are excited for the next three years”
