PRESS RELEASE

Consilia Legal, a boutique law firm specialising in family law and employment law, is proudly celebrating its ten-year anniversary.

Founded by Yorkshire-born solicitors Laura Clapton and Marie Walsh, Consilia Legal has become a renowned firm across Leeds, Harrogate and London, known for its expertise, client care, and commitment to positive workplace culture.

Laura and Marie founded Consilia Legal with a vision to create a forward-thinking law firm centered on client well-being, quality legal support, and a healthy, positive environment for its team. Over the past decade, the firm has grown to a team of 15 and earned a stellar reputation in family law, employment law and mediation, handling complex cases for high-net-worth clients with assets valued at up to £30 million.

To commemorate this milestone, the entire Consilia Legal team enjoyed an unforgettable team-building trip to Paris and Disneyland, complete with a riverboat cruise, a tour of local landmarks, and a journey up the Sacre-Coeur Basilica. The celebrations continued closer to home at Veeno in Leeds, where colleagues, friends, family, and long-time supporters joined for an evening of food, drink, and music to mark the decade of success.

Reflecting on the firm’s growth, Director and Family Solicitor Laura Clapton shared her pride in the team and the journey, commenting, “Celebrating our 10th year in business is an incredibly proud moment for me. I’m proud of our team who continue to support our clients, each other, and Marie and me with the greatest care and respect. They make Consilia such a brilliant place to work. We’ve overcome many obstacles over the years, and although it’s been a rollercoaster, I don’t regret a minute of it!”

As Consilia Legal looks toward the future, the firm is set to expand its services and build on its recent successes, including award wins and continued recognition in the prestigious Legal 500 rankings. With plans to increase the firm’s investment in technology, including apps and AI-driven tools, the Consilia Legal aims to enhance its offerings in family law, mediation, and employment law while staying true to its human-centered approach.

Marie Walsh, Director and Employment Solicitor, emphasized the importance of continuous innovation and adapting to an ever-evolving legal landscape. “We must continue to adapt to stand out as a law firm and to offer clients and employees a better experience than our competitors. In a legal world where courts and tribunals are in crisis, non-court dispute resolution is needed more than ever, and we’re committed to expanding our mediation services across sectors.”

Since its founding, Consilia Legal has become synonymous with expert, compassionate, and innovative legal services. As they step into their second decade, the firm remains dedicated to making a meaningful impact in the communities they serve and beyond.
