The team at Consilia Legal are delighted to announce a third nomination for the most prestigious awards in the family law sector, and we are looking forward to attending the awards and being recognised alongside the best legal professionals in the country.
We were recently informed that Consilia Legal has been shortlisted in the category of ‘Family Law Workplace of the Year’ at the LexisNexis Family Law Awards 2024. These awards bring together the very best of the family law community in the UK, and celebrates the amazing work that goes on to provide family law services in the sector each year.
The awards were launched in 2011 and quickly became the yardstick by which family law solicitors judged themselves. At Consilia Legal we were first shortlisted in 2020, for the ‘Family Law Dispute Resolution Team of the Year’ category, and whilst we didn’t win on this occasion, 12 months later in 2021 we landed the top award for ‘Family Law Wellbeing’. This topped off a meteoric rise for the business, alongside various other awards, despite having only been formed in 2014.
Our third Family Law Awards nomination
Now, in the year that we have celebrated a decade of servicing the family law, employment law and mediation needs of our client base, we are delighted to have been shortlisted for a third time.
The ‘Family Law Workplace of the Year’ award seeks to recognise the business which provides the best work environment and is essentially the best place to work. It looks at wellbeing initiatives, the commitment to diversity and inclusivity and what benefits programmes are in place for employees. While we have submitted our pitch to win the top award, simply being shortlisted is fantastic recognition for the business, and demonstrates that Consilia Legal is a welcoming and embracing place to work, which helps us attract and retain high quality legal professionals.
We also think that, win or lose, acknowledging our work in providing a positive and progressive work environment also reflects the standards of work we provide for our clients. While this award – the winner of which is decided by a judging panel – is related to our internal programmes and policies, we think it also demonstrates our overall ethos and principles, which are so important when addressing the family law, employment law and mediation needs of our customers.
Developing the right culture for family law professionals at Consilia Legal
As a people-based organisation, we are extremely proud to be recognised in this way, and our director and family law solicitor Laura Clapton commented: “Being shortlisted for this award is fantastic recognition for the hard work we have put in to develop the right culture at Consilia Legal. We believe this spreads right through the organisation and can be seen in the quality of work we provide, and how we demonstrate the essential levels of empathy and compassion in delivering family law, employment law and mediation services.”
The awards ceremony will take place on Wednesday 20th November 2024 at the Park Plaza Hotel on Westminster Bridge, London. There are 24 awards being announced in total on the evening and these will recognise the work done by various legal organisations in the UK between June 2023 and June 2024. While the awards are a glittering occasion and a great way for our team to celebrate, they also serve an important purpose; to recognise excellence in the family law sector, to network and share ideas and information with a view to improving the family law sector, and to acknowledge the vital contribution that family law makes to society. This perhaps summarises the very best aspect of being shortlisted for this award and brings into focus the real reason we do this; the part Consilia Legal plays in helping people in need and in helping to form a fair and just society.
