Claudia is recognised as a leading family lawyer and is highly regarded for combining her trademark tenacity with diligence, strategic thinking and empathy.
She advises clients about the financial consequences of relationship breakdown, and is known for her expertise in both complex private children proceedings and high-value financial remedy cases. She handles high and ultra-high net worth financial remedy matters encompassing business assets, agricultural holdings, trusts and pensions on divorce alongside high-conflict children disputes involving allegations of domestic abuse, substance misuse and emotional harm.
Claudia has throughout her career been a vocal advocate for alternative dispute resolution adopting private FDR’s, arbitration and mediation as a form of dispute resolution early on in her career. However, the breadth of her work profile has meant she is also highly adept at litigating matters, when needed. Claudia successfully advised a father in the Court of Appeal case of Re HN in 2021 (regarding issues of domestic abuse) and advised a mother in complex children proceedings which included a two-week long fact-finding hearing. Her financial remedy work includes litigating on cross border international issues and frequently advising business owners, farmers and third parties (such as grandparents acting as trustees) regarding arguments connected to the accrual of pre and post-marital wealth.
Claudia joined Consilia in 2026 having spent much of her career at a highly regarded national law firm, and she prides herself on her commitment to exceptional client service. Having played rugby for York Women’s RUFC and Scarborough Women’s RUFC, Claudia remains an avid rugby fan and is a vocal advocate of all women’s sport.
Claudia had the great privilege of being a Trustee Director of IDAS for seven years, Yorkshire’s largest domestic abuse charity. She is skilled in training other professionals in not only the impact of domestic abuse, but more generally advising the vulnerable. She is frequently called upon to advise in cases of domestic abuse, elder abuse and where there are concerns regarding mental capacity.
