We worked together as colleagues for a number of years before launching Consilia Legal. At Consilia Legal we share a common approach - we work with our clients to best achieve their goals. This led us to choose the name "Consilia" which means working together in Latin. We believe Consilia represents who we are and our relationship with our clients.
Our Employment director, Marie Walsh advises a range of businesses, their directors and shareholders on all aspects of HR and employment law issues. Marie Walsh believes that "our loyal clients appreciate a down to earth and straight talking practical approach to the law and business strategy. My principal aim is to provide practical legal advice to suit the individual and commercial needs of my clients in a timely and efficient manner."
Our Family directors, Sally Clark and Laura Clapton advise individuals on relationship breakdown including divorce proceedings, property and finances and child related issues. They also advise on asset protection including pre & post nuptial agreements. Laura says "Our aim is always to achieve the best outcome for our clients but also to ensure that the process is as stress free and cost effective as possible in often difficult circumstances. We believe our clients feel completely safe and assured in our hands."
Sally and Laura are trained family mediators and offer an all issues family mediation service for both privately paying and legally aided clients. Sally is accredited under FMCA. She is also a direct child consultant and an experienced Professional Practice Consultant supervising other mediators locally. As lawyers and mediators, Sally and Laura take a constructive and non-confrontational approach whilst also acting robustly as litigators.
At Consilia Legal we also offer workplace mediation for employment related disputes in order to avoid costly litigation.
